Nvidia Secures U.S. Approval for Multi-Billion-Dollar AI Chip Sales to UAE
Nvidia has achieved a significant milestone with U.S. government approval to export billions of dollars worth of AI chips to the United Arab Emirates. The deal, part of a broader U.S.-UAE artificial intelligence agreement, allows the Emirates to import up to 500,000 Nvidia chips annually starting in 2025. This move strengthens Nvidia's dominance in the global AI chip market while expanding its footprint in the Middle East.
The UAE has committed to investing $1.4 trillion in the U.S. over the next decade as part of the arrangement. A massive data center project in Abu Dhabi, with OpenAI as a key partner, will serve as the cornerstone of the region's AI infrastructure development.
